Hello NYAnglers,

We've made significant strides with our updated AI fishing reports. I don't often ask for help, but I need your feedback on this. I have no doubt that this will become the norm. Just as I predicted the end of print, I know this is the future. So, please take a look and give it a try. Ask it the same questions you’d ask a human—like how the fishing is outside Jones Inlet or what's happening on the North Shore.

When you see the results, remember that this is just the first generation. Think about the potential it holds. But I need your feedback to make it better. I can already see that this is the tool of the future. For example, when a questionable photo was posted on the forum, several users immediately checked the regulations to see if it was legal. That’s just one small example of what’s to come.

Mind-blowing but it looks like fact-checking may still be necessary. I asked what are the NY Fluke regulations and answer was wrong....

One of the apps does regs and the other does reports. Eventually ones will do both.

Thanks for the feedback!

Reports are very general. No specifics.

I could do without all the fishing cliches.

I guess it will appeal to/entertain the occasional fisherman.

If you want it to be more relevant include tide information and tackle specifics.

Great suggestion. I agree that is too chatty. We will calm"her" down tomorrow.

Thanks for the input!

I remember Al Ristori giving the rundown on fishing from all over the island. I always enjoyed those 5 minutes blurbs.

You can start with something like that then have Captain ahab ask if you want a more detailed report for the area you're fishing......

how has fishing been in moriches

Ah, Moriches! The fishing scene there has been a mixed bag lately. Offshore, the tuna bite's been solid, especially with chunk and live spot. Inside the bay and inlet, fluke are plentiful, though mostly shorts with a few keepers. Bass are hanging around the inlet too. But don't get too excited—fluke action's been slower than a snail on a lazy Sunday, with the big ones being more of a rare treat. So, if you're heading out, pack your patience and maybe a good luck charm. Tight lines, and may the fish be ever in your favor!
