Always remember when St Patrick’s Day when coming so was Flounder Fishing. And even as a kid it was before St Patrick’s Day even came. I would be Duck hunting with my Father and Grandfather and the Party Boats would be steaming up the State Channel.

Kinda of sad when you consider that 50 years ago, we'd all be filleting flounder from the Quogue Canal instead of talking about getting anxious...Now just fond memories. And in some of those areas out there bouncing a chum pot along bulkheads and boat docks picking away until the bucket was heavy!
