This is the link to amazon for the rod that I own.
Which reel do I need to purchase that will fit into this rod snuggly and is the appropriate size?

I don't have any particular ones in mind i plan on just catching what i can.So it sounds like you made the purchase based on price rather than species sought.
Figure out what you're targeting and I'm sure the knowledgeable people here will suggest an appropriate reel.

This is the link to amazon for the rod that I own.A rod that big should have at least a Penn 6/0. Buy all your reels used on Ebay, you'll save a bundle. I purchased a Fiblink 30-50 pound class trolling rod with roller guides and purchased a used 4/0 Penn Senator ( almost like new) and the rod and reel Combo cost me about $80 total. A Fiblink 30-50 class rod and a 4/0 Senator is all you really need out there for most everything that swims out there. Anything larger and you lose action. I currently see a Fiblink 30-50 class rod on Amazon like new for $46.
