Headed out with my friend on board James Joseph this morning. We steamed east and stayed in that area the whole day. I started off slow with some shorts and Sea Robin's. Ended the day with 1 keeper and around 8-10 shorts. The boat had a decent amount of keepers as well. I caught it on my model 0 Palmarius. What a nice rod! I was able to fish and hold bottom with 1/2 oz bucktail the whole trip with that rod. Keepr was taken on an olive green teaser from Harvey, tipped with spearing and squid.

Yes, that Palmarius 0 is a great rod! I use it with a 1 oz bucktail and teaser in the bay.

Nice going, Matt. Nothing better than breaking in a new rod with a nice fish for dinner. I still can't believe I resisted the huge temptation to buy myself one of those rods this past March at the NJ Expo.

Have to start filling the "piggy bank" and reconsider next year!😀

If my work schedule ever aligns with your Fluke openings, I will defiantly bring it for you to try. I have it paired with a TranX 150. Very light.
