Since NY Seabassing doesn't start until 6/23 my brother from LI hopped on the train and joined me for a phenomenal fill-the-freezer NJ trip . You are each allowed 10 seabass over 12.5" but we made 14" our minimum size and filled the box in no time. We fished Axel Carlson reef area. Also pulled up many ling, one winter flounder snowshoe, but unfortunately no Cod. A quick attempt at ocean fluking was no good. As we headed into Manasquan River to try for skinny water fluke, we saw Bunker flashing. Not knowing if anything was on them we were surprised when my son Brian got this skinny 48"er with Stripes. NJ Seabassing is hot now, go get em....1000001757.jpg1000001760.jpg1000001754.jpg

Ridiculous these regs in NYC. It's a joke. Congratulations on a great day.

Oh, so that's what a NJ sea bass looks like! Lol

With such a disparity between NY and NJ regs, I thought they were catching a different species in the garden state.

As Bassmaster just stated, It's a joke!!
