I currently have a Suspenz End Cart but while it is great for wheeling the 12' 8" Hurricane Skimmer yak to wherever, it needs to be taken back to the truck before paddling off.
A put-in that I want to use is an 1/8 of a mile from the parking lot and I do not feel comfortable leaving the yak and my fishing stuff to the goblins. Hell, even my usual spot which allows me to park within a hundred feet of the put-in sees me leaving the paddle in the truck bed and never unattended with the kayak. I have seen
multiple carts where the wheels easily detach and the frame folds up, all under a hundred bucks, but wanted some recommendations. Even if the frame would not fit in the yak and would have to be lashed down on the stern, while the wheels would fit in the front hatch, would work. Kayak and all the fishing gear would still weigh well under 70 lbs.
another kayak cart ?

I could but I use the space directly behind the seat for a bucket with my drift sock, water bottle in it and behind that when I liveline small snappers a killie troll thing. If I bungied it at all it would be all the way in the back where the stern narrows.

That works. When I got my 16’ revo a few years ago. I set up tubes like rocket launchers right behind the set. This stopped me from reverse installing my wheels through the scuppers from top down (scupper type cart) right behind my seat. Now I just lay them across like back by your flag and clip them to the bungee like you have.

Also tell your friend being where he is at. He can launch in Wading River, parking at county lot for kayaks and have pretty much the place to himself. Just no moon tides, everything floods there. Right across creek from shuttered nuclear power plant.
