Got out early on Friday for what may or may not be the last trip of the year. A west wind, against a flood tide doesn't make for the best conditions, but who can argue with 60deg air temp in November. Made a few drops on both sides of Plum Island & to the west , sorted through steady action of shorts & ended the day with a limit of keepers, no sea monsters for me, but solid 17" blackfish. With windy conditions the early part of the coming week, & family obligations over the long weekend, I'll call the shrink wrapper & try & put our appointment off till the end of the following week.

Good trip if it was the last. I'm trying to get out a few more times!

We had to get our boat off the marina on the 15, so that’s it for blackfish on the KALOLA this season. Have another trip booked on the Elizabeth II on the 27, hope the weather allows. Have done well around Plum late in the season, just pushed out to 50-60’. Well done on your trip !!
