Been having some good fishing the last few days including a “too big” 34” fish yesterday. This morning’s session got cut short by a trip to ER when the recoil from a fish I was lifting out of the water as the hook came out and buried itself into my hand.

Buried a half ounce bucktail hook in the palm of my hand fishing shinnecock canal recently with the kids. No way I was leaving to go to the hospital. I finagled it a little bit causing a little damage and some pain but all was successful.
