Last I remember, you can launch at town ramp free but can't park there without a permit.

Star island used to put boats in the water as well for a fee.

A long ride for me. Wish the rates for an overnight stay were more reasonable.

The only way to stay out in Montauk cheap is to keep a boat out there and use that as a hotel. Winter storage is cheaper out there.

I guess a call to the marinas out there and ask about launch fees.

If you want to go on the cheap, stay west of Riverhead!

Bargain days out East are long gone. They're selling trailers at Ditch Plains for over 1M!!!!!

Billionaire surf shacks they call them now.

Haven’t used the town ramp on west lake drive for many years, if I remember using it at low tide ment backing the truck well into the water. The non resident permit WAS $125 for the year

Another option is to launch at the DEC ramp in Greenport, Montauk is about 25 miles by water, & no traffic.

And the differential spent on gas vs vehicle is somewhat mitigated by I am sure a hefty launch fee. Thank you!
