Loop Knot failure

For the longest time I've used just a double surgeons loop to tie on my teasers, lately I have been losing a lot of lures as when casting or fighting a fish the line fails just below the knot. Have you found this to be true too?

I'm going back to the other loop knot even thought it's a pain in the ass to tie and get just right sometimes

I only use double surgeons for sinkers. Drooper loop I use for teasers.

Dropper loop. Make sure the knot is wet and tighten down gently.

if you want to break line but don't have a knife, tie an overhand loop and pull the tag end and standing line apart. Watch how easily it breaks. Ok for a sinker, because nothing is pulling on the tag end.
Dropper loop knots are much better for teasers.

Make three turns on your Surgeon's Loops. I've never had one fail.
