Let them come home with you. Weak hit just before the fog started to lift. Fluke waited until sunny and almost slack. Weak, teaser w/ chartreuse Gulp, Fluke pink and white 3/4 oz buck with white Gulp. Regardless, this is the worst early season I have had in five or six years. Inlet dredging ? Wind farm stuff ? Crappy weather ? I left at 1030 but saw little action on other boats that waited until the fog lifted.

With a motor I can fish in a lot more places than you can and fluking is very very slow this year. Even the sea robins aren't there . I read the party boat reports out in Captree, and 1/2 day boats get 50 fluke and 5 or 6 keepers , maybe 15 -20 guys fishing like crazy for 4 hours. They call dogfish - Cape sharks - and they include them in the daily catch because they aren't catching a lot.
I wish I went out today, turned out to be a nice day. I was scared about the thunderstorms .
