Have an Older Daiwa Ballistic 3000SH, That they needed some new drag washers

I called diawa directly at (562) 375-6800 and spoke with a nice customer service rep and told her I needed a new drag washer kit. Gave her the part numbers and she looked them up and said they stopped making parts 2020, My first thought was Oh Crap! But she said they still had some old parts in stock. So she went and checked and Thank god they had the pats I needed. Then she says she'll come back with a price. Now I'm thinking - I'm gonna get raked over the coals. Here's where it gets really good - FREE! yes no cost to me - didn't even take a credit card over the phone.

Sometimes a company "delights" you. It used to be de rigueur, but it's becoming more rare these days.

My brother had a Daiwa Sealine 50 reel in the early 1980's. Great reel and then something broke and Daiwa wouldn't repair it. My brother swore he'd never buy Daiwa ever again. I always liked that reel ( compared much better than a Jigmaster ) and bought a used one on Ebay 10 years ago.
