I went out the inlet on Thursday and there were a few breakers / almost flat as a lake outside with some rollers. Is it Hawaii Five O in the inlet when it's rough outside ?

Still using the "west" channel, and that's been O.K. on the relatively calm days I've fished. Still had swell-caused breakers on the western edge of the West bar that looked evil, but proved harmless.

Heard some were back to transiting on the East side, about 200 yds off the jetty. I've not looked there as yet.

Wow, 200 yds but I’m 6 years removed from transiting JI.

I saw surfcasters standing in the water 100 feet off the East Jetty. Probably at dead low tide. Crazy thing to see.
