Scientists at Stony Brook University’s School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS) have developed an app that can answer any question about the condition of the waters in and around Long Island. The Long Island Beach and Water Quality App (LIBAWQA), is described as the world’s first ever all-in-one water quality app for the public. I haven’t looked at it yet and don’t know if it will be helpful but figure I would share the article.

We are VERY lucky to have such a dedicated person such as Chris Gobler that is devoted to studying the local waters in and around Long Island. I for one am very proud to know him personally. 👍
