Look at completed listings on ebay. That will tell you what things actually sold for, not just what people's fantasy values are.

If you gotta pay for shipping them I wouldnt even bother getting them

I shipped a one piece to NJ with UPS.. it cost as much as what I sold the rod for. So I actually lost money on it.

Don't think he will hit me hard on shipping, we ship stuff back and forth all the time and most time in surprised it's that cheap. I doubt there's many two piece rods other then maybe surf stuff but they would not be to bad to ship.

I mentioned some tackle shops used to do Consignments on some things, don't know if they do that over there or not. Like I said I'm not sure what he has or how much, I'm sure he will keep stuff he still uses or use the money to put to new gear.

I’d try to get some pictures of the reels. There are basically two types of people those who use their equipment to death with very little care and those who keep their gear meticulously clean & maintained. As far as value goes eBay is a great starting place.

There in Hawaii and I'm in New York so I'd say it's a little far, but we ship things to each other all the time and it's not to much. A long rod tho I'm sure it would cost a bit. He has the scale and the printer for usps shipping so I think it's a little cheaper to.
