I wonder when we will be able to hold seminars, and other fishing related events.

Don't shoot the messenger, but based on summer/fall completion of vaccinations, it looks like the late winter/spring 2021 fishing shows will be another washout.

"Missing Link08" just posted on Stripers Online that the Ward Melville Expo for March is cancelled, but they are looking into an outdoor show in the late spring, china virus dependent. (The weekend before fluke season opens would be my hope.)

How much do you care to bet that it won't happen? Some of my colleagues that present on the "Show Circuit" have been notified that 2021 is a NFW event...

Unless the various events can be held outside under rain canopies and not enclosed tents, IMHO NOTHING is going to take place until the fall, if then. Not enough vaccinated and the 30% or so in denial who will not get the shot make gatherings questionable. I would also not be surprised if lawsuits against sponsors and event proprietors are filed, not unlike bars getting sued when some drunk they served kills a family while driving the wrong way on a thoroughfare.

I will have both vaccine shots by the middle of March, but I don't think I'll be ready for any big indoor events for quite a while, certainly not this spring.

Bingo. Liability issues out the wazoo. Unless they make you sign your life away.

You need to let the vaccine work it's way in and make sure it's working properly.

I got a sneaky suspicion why Cuomo forced Covid 19 into Nursing homes, somebody claimed they were being discriminated against ,not allowed to go back to their nursing home, and they allowed them to return. Cuomo's March 25 directive said Nursing Homes couldn't deny admission if somebody had Covid 19. Somebody complained. Both Democrats and Republicans made mistakes and we should focus our anger at China.

Ahh, but we get so many cheap goods from the chicoms. Like Penn reels. (and most of my ship model kits !)😳
