So with winter officially 2.5 weeks away, I'm sure most of us will be hanging up the gear for the Spring time soon. What does everyone have planned for the off season? New rods, reels, tackle etc? I'm looking to get a new jigging spinning rod, most likely going with the Shimano Grappler that has been mentioned quite a bit, maybe a nice little spinning rod to use off a pier or beach to try for fluke and finally a spinning rod to throw lures from the boat for bass/blues.

I usually try to go on a party boat for cod and sea bass behind block island...gives something to look forward to and breakup the winter a little bit

  • Clean, lubricate all reels, and rebuild my Jigmasters.

  • Rehab 2 pinball machines

  • Keep those 50 lbs I lost off

There's some good headboat fishing out there.
