HI. As promised, here is my surf report for today. Headed out to Princess Bay beach on the south shore of Staten Island to fish the last two hours of the incoming and about an hour of the outgoing tide. There was a fairly stiff inshore wind when I got there but died out about an hour later. My surf bag was loaded with goodies and I used them all. Started with tins followed by bucktails, poppers and swimmers. During my last hour I clipped on a 6.5 inch yellow eye needlefish and bam!--- A 25 inch short, fat bass. After a quick release ( thank you single hooks and crushed barbs ) I headed home as happy as a pig in s---t.

I am always fishing the other side of the Verrazano.. All along the Belt Parkway with great experiences... Yesterday was throwing metal and catching monster Blues that was chasing the Herring...

I don't bother checking tides or water temperatures I just like to go out and toss lures and then when I get tired I would dead stick bait.. I find this to be very productive and enjoyable...
