Saturday’s half-day charter for the George party found the Biscuits bordering on suicidal! In a mere 90 minutes we had a 4-man limit to 4# with several in the 3# class as well. Several double header keepers were landed during the spree. Normally we donate some tackle to the very rocky bottom that holds the tasty critters. However, the fish were so aggressive there was no time to even lose a sinker! Hit the bottom, lock the reel, and set the hook. The pure definition of “drop and stick” fishing!!
Today’s trip was a repeat performance for the 3-man crew headed by Steve. We actually did donate a little tackle this time, but only to the occasional Bluefish that were swimming through the grounds.
With Sea Bass fishing being red hot, it seems highly likely we will devote an hour or so of the first few Tog trips to filling out the box with a nice mixed bag. Only a handful of weekend dates left for Tog so unless you can work out a weekday trip it would be wise to call now to secure a Blackfish date that coincides with your work schedule.
