I borrowed this shot from our friend Paul Pelosu of a whale feeding just off South Hampton Beach. This has actually been a common occurrence this year as our bunker population continues to thrive with all year classes being found inshore.

Definitely a lot more life in a ton of different places. I've seen sea turtles, dolphin, and small whales in the Western LIS over the last few years. I think it speaks to the return of pristine conditions in the sound and the increase in the menhaden population.

They were feeding off the bunker schools in Milford Ct last year, my son and I caught the last of a couple that had crashed the bunker and then moved west, we were so amazed that we never took a pic or video but the boat next to did and posted it on social media.
