New York quietly put golf courses on the non-essential business list Thursday, a move that will force them to shutter at least until April 29.

Is the ramp still open?I doubt it. Might drive Monday for a look see. I would think the marina at Tobay Beach will be closed as well, and possibly Jones Beach Boat Basin will be roped off. (If asshats keep congregating on the ocean beaches ...)

I did get a couple of good tips for kayak launching on one of my shooting websites. A bit of a drive that I am not used to, but what the hey. this whole shut down the marinas and boat launch sites is so inconsistent its maddening. I understand that people from different households should stay away from each other but...

Yachtmen’s Cove/Freeport, my marina, chained and padlocked closed. Already gave them $1K down. Gee, I wonder when I’ll pay my balance? ?♂️

I drove down to Kings Park last week and while the bluff was closed there were numerous people partying on the ramps. I guess I'd the people aren't going to listen they have no choice.
I do believe that they will be the First thing opened when reading begins.

God how I wish the Town of Oyster Bay would outlaw those infernal Guatemalan hairdryers. I guess its too much to ask. Not that any of them vote for either party (or are even eligible to do so.)
However I do have to admit using an underpowered electric one on vacuum mode to clean out my gardens once a year probably before anyone has even opened their windows. Don't even know if the blower functions so I can say that I have never spewed debris into the street or the neighbors like the alleged landscapers do.
But back on topic- my fishing buddy doesn't yak but uses (used to use) the town boat ramp which I do a few times a year as well for my own little bay boat. If the town beach stays open (doubtful with all the asshats congregating there) the two of us might be doing some spring surfcasting, which is usually wholly unsuccessful.
