The best place to seine that I am aware of around Short beach and around the south side of the channel on the west side of the MB bridge. I have seen guys fill up buckets of them. Of course there are tricks to being successful such as chumming and going at the right time to get the larger ones.
I can get spearing with square net off the dock but they are smallish until late in the season- perfect snapper bait. Peanut bunker cast netting is very good when they size up. It is also possible to cast net mullet and tinker mackeral at times they come in the canals at night.
