New Mako regulations..... who's still shark fishing?

Have the new regulations cut into your shark fishing time? Have you given it up, reduce the number of trips, or still still the same amount, excluding tournaments. Or are you strictly tournament fishing for them?

Have you harvested any Mako's with the new regulations?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Greatly reduced my shark fishing time, didn't go once last year. Various reasons but the regs have a lot to do with it, as does the fact that I'm usually fishing alone.

Thanks! I only went shearling twice, but I’d love to get out there again. Had one small Mako around 80lbs that we tagged and released.

I’ll still fish the tournaments, but my recreational sharking will be kept at a minimum. Nobody wants to eat a 250 lb Mako.

Guys the LOWERED the size for Male fish to 71" FL!!!!!! About time they decided to take advantage of the easy sex determination of sharks and rays!!
