I left the Nissey at around 2pm to catch the last of the incoming into the outgoing. Smithtown Bay was again barren of any life. I mean not even a bird. In hopped around from the usual haunts between Sunken Meadow and Cranes and there was very little life.

I then decided to do what I've done every year since the 80's, and thats give Flax Pond a try the first week of June. Back in the day there was always a doormat taken there.

It was a little bit of wind against tide, so I didn't have a lot of movement. I drop in my bucktail. I go to lift it up, and I hook up with a good fish. Twenty-one incher in the net. With everything intact, I drop down again and bang, same exact thing. Cookie Cutters. Both a hefty 21 in.

Aside from that, I had one robin and one porgy and not another touch. Honestly, I don't care. Two twenty-one inchers are great for me. Sorry about no pics. My GoPro went on fire the other day, and my phone was dying.

Really happy to hear you found a couple of nice Fluke.
However, I am concerned about your new habit of abusing electronics!!

Yeah, that was weird. When that thing lit up, I threw it out the back door and bounced around the yard for like 30 seconds flaming like a fireworks. I have to be honest I have taken GoPro on planes batteries in them. Iโ€™ll never do that again.
