The Navy had a bad day in the GSB

Yesterday the Navy missed the channel just east of the Lindenhurst Cut. I can't believe how much they abused those Merc's. It took a tow boat pulling and two waking it to get him off. They were trying for a long time with one tow boat and had no luck. With two boats waking it and one pulling it, they finally got off. Those poor engines were being toasted and now we have a new channel.

What "Navy" exactly was that?

Hope it wasn't Babylon's new response boat

I thought the same thing Avenger but being ex-Navy, it was a Naval Reserve boat. I'm guessing they take reservists out to remind them which part of the boat is port, starboard, bow and stern. Looks like they might need some gps chartplotter practice. As Longcast said, shit happens. They really put it up on the bar. It was actually facing the other way. In that video, the rooster tail was small. Occasionally, those motors were tached up to red line for a long time and water was flying.

See so many boaters in that area make the same mistake. On a low tide east of Lindenhurst you better be paying attention. Moving at full speed you will leave your teeth plastered to your windshield in a hurry. Glad they got off the sand and all were safe

You got that right Hunter. It's very easy to get up on that edge and when you do, it's not forgiving.
