GPS advice needed

I have a Garmin NUVI 2599LMTHD. Admittedly I like the unit. The one issue is that occasionally I take my truck and boat trailer out of state. I am not allowed on Parkways. My issue the 2599LMTHD does not know I am not allowed on Parkways and will plot a course that includes them.

I need a unit that that can fit my needs of cars and Truck with trailers. Believe it or not, I had an old NUVI 360. It had a section where you could tell it you were a) A car, b) a Truck and c) a pedestrian. It was a wonderful feature.

I wrote Garmin and they replied I will need a Dezl product to be able to avoid parkways. The Dezl products are designed for truck drivers. Here is a link to them.

Anyone have experience with the Dezl line? Many people here must tow their boats. Please share your thoughts. Thanks.

BTW: My truck did not come with a nav system. My wife's came with a factory nav and I hate it.

I don’t like using my phone. It has a small screen (so it fits in my pocket). I am thinking of a 7 or 8 inch screen. Plus I like certain GPS features.

My friend is a waze lover and thinks I'm nuts. I prefer the GPS. To me its not right or wrong, it's preference.

Not sure what model it is, but the Kids have a Garmin "RV" model that sets courses based on height of the RV and whether or not you're packing a propane tank. They love it.

I believe there is such a thing as "commercial" gps that is friendly for truck, tractor trailers, etc

That was super helpful. So even if I get a Dezl product, I have to tell the GPS my Tundra is over 7,000 pounds.
