Stopped last night at a dock with the wife (no rod) and the area was loaded with all kinds of bait with small blues and who knows what else smashing and slashing. Went back this morning, of course bait, but nothing harassing it except for a few small snappers. But did hook this little guy!

Returned safely and off to work!

I’ve yet to catch one , but here they are tasty little nuggets ??

I compare the taste to fluke or flounder and we cook them the same way,fried topped off with wine sauce,delicious..

@longcast A friend of mine had a bunch in the back of the Nissequogue last week. He didn't know they were tasty and he released them all. He was worming for bass and all he found were kingfish and some nice-sized porgies. He saw it as wasting 2 hours of worm digging.
