I wish I had a new Keurig with the options for stronger brews. The one we have is an older model with only settings for 2 cup sizes. It's still going strong so I don't know when we'll need a new one.

I bought mine just after I tried a cup by you. It has to be at least six years old. Best coffee maker we've ever had. Most others last a couple of years. I bought a no frills one for camp. There is no way I can spend as much time as I do there without 'my cup" of coffee I'm just to used to it being the same everytime. A couple of my friends went out and bought Keurigs after have coffee with me there.

My new one at camp has three settings, but not the ability to make a stronger brew. The stronger brew is by having the water go through the pod slower.
This is the one I have at home:

I would think a stronger brew would be the same K cup with less water

It is, but it's also stronger if the water goes through the pod slower. So the small setting with the slower brew will give you the strongest cup. That should be good for the espresso.

We do three pounds of ground DD at a time. Ratio: two pounds dark to one pound regular. Mix well. Makes a nice cup in the little Mr. Coffee 5-cupper. Or especially when we kick it old school, in our 50 year old West Bend electric percolater. Now THAT thing makes a good cup o’Joe.
